HOLY WEEK TRONILLOS (children’s thrones), Saturday April 1, 2023
In the CHURCH OF EL SALVADOR:
4:30 p.m. at the Balcon de Europa
Procession of the Tronillos in Nerja
The procession will begin at half past four in the afternoon from the Church of El Salvador with the blessing of the parish priest, Antonio Jesús Carrasco. The processional route will be: Paseo Balcón de Europa, Puerta del Mar street, Pintada street, Cruz street, Ánimas street, Granada street, Cavana square and Carmen street to the Church of El Salvador. The procession of the Tronillos de Nerja is a beautiful tradition of our Holy Week in which the boys and girls of Nerja and Maro parade with their thrones and images made by themselves.
PALM SUNDAY, April 2, 2023
In the HERMITAGE OF NTRA. MRS. OF ANGUISH:
11:30 in the morning: Blessing of Palms and Branches at the door of the Hermitage of the Virgen de las Angustias and departure in Procession through Plaza de la Ermita, Angustias, Pintada, Puerta del Sea and Balcony of Europe.
