Once again, the iconic Burriana Beach will host Nerja’s much-loved Night of San Juan, taking place this year on Monday, June 23. This magical evening, which welcomes the summer solstice, will feature the symbolic burning of the “Júa”, live music, fireworks, and an incredible festive atmosphere for locals and visitors alike.
Event Schedule
Festivities will kick off at 10:00 PM with a live performance by Grupo Al Alba to set the mood.
At midnight, the traditional burning of the “Júa” will take place, followed by an impressive fireworks display lighting up the night sky.
The evening will continue with the energetic sounds of Orquesta Onda Sonora, keeping the party alive well into the night.

Practical Information and Regulations
Camping and Bonfires
- Camping is allowed on the beaches of Nerja from 12:00 PM on June 23 to 11:00 PM on June 24, except on Burriana, La Torrecilla, and Maro beaches, where camping is prohibited.
- Bonfires are only permitted on designated beaches (excluding Burriana, Torrecilla, and Maro), from 8:00 PM on June 23 until 5:00 AM on June 24.
Bonfires must be built on metal containers or similar structures—not directly on the sand—and all residues must be completely removed afterwards. - Prohibited materials: wood with nails or metal objects, toxic products, aerosols, and any hazardous materials.
Electricity and Music
- Use of electric generators and public electrical connections is prohibited.
- Installation of mobile discos or similar equipment is not allowed.
- Music is permitted until 2:00 AM on June 24. After this time, silence must be respected until 10:00 AM.
- Use of high-power sound systems is prohibited.

Furniture, Space & Parking
- Only regular beach furniture is allowed.
- Fencing off areas with ropes, fences, tarps, or similar is prohibited.
- Gazebos, small tents, and umbrellas should maintain at least 2 meters of distance from each other for safety reasons.
- Vehicles must be parked in designated parking areas—parking directly on the sand is strictly prohibited.
Waste & Environmental Care
- Attendees must remove all trash and residues after the celebration.
- The Municipal Beach Ordinance must be respected at all times, except for the temporary exceptions listed above for this event.
Safety & Good Conduct
A special security and cleaning operation will be in place throughout the night to ensure that everyone enjoys a safe and eco-friendly celebration.
