Nerja reaches an occupancy rate of 91% in August, being one of the municipalities on the Costa del Sol with the highest occupancy.

Malaga and the Costa del Sol continue to be destinations on the rise. The most demanded destinations in the month of August have been:

• Torremolinos (93.76%)
• Benalmádena (93.71%)
• Fuengirola (91.75%)
• Nerja ( 91.31%)
• and others such as Malaga, Marbella, Mijas or Axarquia that have touched 90%

The average occupancy on the Costa del Sol has been 88%

Although occupancy has been very good, the profitability of establishments is worrying. (many cannot compensate for the losses). Expenses have increased quite a bit. Electricity has risen 240%.
