You can no longer go down to Maro beach by car. (In summer it is only possible to go down on foot or by shuttle bus).
Nerja Town Hall has set up a roundtrip bus service to go down to Maro beach.
A temporary car park with more than 100 spaces has been created next to the Hotel Playamaro roundabout.

This service restricts and limits vehicle access to Maro beach. If you arrive by car you must park in Maro, or one of the car parks in Maro.
Maro beach is one of the beaches with the highest tourist influx in summer. (also the beach of Caleta de Maro). Many people come to kayak at Maro beach, or to go to the Maro waterfalls, this beach is one of the most crowded in summer, it is a small family beach.

Where to park on Maro beach?
You can park in Maro, in the Plaza de Maro car park next to the Balcon de Maro apartments or also in the parking lot next to the Playa Maro hotel.
Does the car park at Maro beach have to be paid for?
YES, the parking is paid, and is managed by the local association of the Friendship Workshop.
What vehicles can go down to Maro beach?
You cannot lower any motorized vehicle. (no motorcycles, no mopeds, no cars). Only public transport and emergency service vehicles can go down to the beach. Owners and tenants of land in the area can also download with the prior authorization of the local police.
