🏆 Nerja, the most visited destination in July on the Costa del Sol in 2022 💖

The news for the tourism sector is encouraging. Despite the airline strikes, the virus, the war conflicts in the world and the constant warning that winter is going to make everything worse.

National and international tourists continue to choose Nerja for their holidays. Malaga in general is a perfect destination to spend the summer, spend a few days or enjoy with the family for a week.

Hotel occupancy stood at 86% for the month of July 2022 throughout the Costa del Sol according to data from the Association of Hotel Entrepreneurs of the Costa del Sol (Aehcos), surpassing two points to the same month of the reference year, the summer of 2019 (84.20%).

The two municipalities at the ends of the province of Malaga; Nerja and Torremolinos have been the busiest. Nerja has an occupancy rate of 94.46% and Torremolinos 92.49%.

Aehcos expects to close August with 84% and September with 78%, although it looks with concern at the slowdown in international tourism
