The residents and visitors of Madrid have come across this monumental flamenco-dressed doll, 8 meters high and 12 meters wide, installed in the Plaza del Callao in Madrid.
The giant flamenco doll refers to the classic Marin doll that many of us had on top of the television at home.
Why did they put this gypsy doll?
Next to the giant doll we find a sign with the name “La Gitana de la Tele” referring to the Marin dolls from Chiclana de la Frontera in Andalucia.
Surprise in Madrid
This spectacular figure has managed to go viral on the internet. We can find thousands of videos and photos on social networks explaining, or giving their evaluation of the Marin doll.
Advertising in FITUR
It was the Cervezas Cruzcampo brand that wanted to recover the famous “Tipical Spanish” doll as an advertising campaign. With a slogan and a gypsy renewed and proud of her roots.
And to you. What do you think?
