Those who are passionate about art and culture have an appointment on the first weekend of October in Frigiliana. This beautiful town in the mountains of Malaga brings together the best artists in its Art Festival. Frigiliana is a tourist white town in the Axarquia, it is located between Nerja and Torrox.

Frigiliana has won national beautification awards, and is officially considered one of the beautiful towns in Andalusia and Spain. Its slogan and award at the entrance of the municipality reflect this. “Frigiliana, One of the most beautiful towns in Spain.”

The Frigiliana Art Route is an exceptional opportunity to get to know Frigiliana and enjoy its art, its streets, its houses and its gastronomy. This art festival is a special route through Frigiliana, visiting places, emblematic places of Frigiliana, typical houses converted into museums. This event is the perfect opportunity to visit Frigiliana, open days, visit typical houses, rediscover Frigiliana in a different way and discover the art of fifty participants and more than a dozen different nationalities

Art of many kinds, from engravings, ceramics, collage, art povera, sculptures, photographs, textiles, encaustic, drawings and paintings among others. Doing this route in Frigiliana will give you the opportunity to learn about the creative processes of these artists, talk to the artists, see the authors working and creating art live (in situ).

6TH EDITION OF THE FRIGILIANA ART ROUTE

The Art Route is a magnificent journey through 23 locations in Frigiliana (houses, museums, spaces, premises) and with the gaze of 48 artists of different nationalities. On this route you can see the works of the artists, talk with them and participate in the different art workshops.

🎨 INTENSIVE PAINTING COURSE

A 10-hour course. THE LANGUAGE OF COLOR with the artist ISMAEL FUENTES. This course is taught along the route. Saturday, October 8 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, October 9 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Participants: 7-15. Price: €220 Place: the Library and C/ Real nº 67, 2nd floor of the Pensioner’s Home.

👩‍🎨 COLLAGE WORKSHOPS

3-hour workshops AN INNER JOURNEY with ALINA ELIZA SMOCOV In Spanish/ English. You can choose the time that suits you best: Friday, October 7 or Saturday, October 8 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. or Sunday, October 9 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. or from 4:00 p.m. Price: €30 each Participants: 5-15 Place: Avda Príncipe de Asturias, 9 in El Abanico Women’s Association.
