La costa del Sol está de moda. La asociacion de Empresarios Hoteleros de la Costa del Sol ha cerrado la ocupacion hotelera en casi un 60% para el mes de Enero. un incremento de un 6% mas en comparacion del mes de Enero del año pasado.

Cabe destacar la gran presencia de turistas internacionales en Enero, favoreciendo la ocupacion y la temporalidad. Ya es habitual que en los meses de invierno la ocupacion corresponda a turistas internacionales que decide viajar a la Costa del Sol para pasar los meses frios de su pais en un lugar mas calido. Los visitantes internacionales en invierno suponen el 75% de la ocupacion y tan solo el 25% se refiere a turistas nacionales (siendo la mayoria de ellos turistas de provincias cercanas).

El reto para Torrox, Nerja y Frigiliana es superar estas cifras en los proximos años.

Si valoramos las cifras por destinos de la provincia de Malaga:
