Hello we are thinking of a trip to Nerja we normally go to Almeria but are looking for a change. And we have read in Nerja Lovers that Nerja is a paradise. I’ve done some research but am a bit confused by the different locations to stay in. Burriana or center? What do you recommend?

We like to be able to walk during the day and evening. We enjoy nice meals/bars especially with outdoor seating and ideally it would like a hotel/apartment with a balcony that gets the sun.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated please?

If you don’t mind walking, you can book in the Burriana beach area. But to go to the center you will have to walk 20 minutes every day you come to the center.

Burriana beach has hotels and apartments. You can rent a villa or apartment in Burriana Beach, or book a room at the Hotel Parador in Nerja.

If you come to the center. Life is different. Mostly in summer. There are hotels and apartments on all the streets of Nerja. I can recommend the Hotel Balcon de Europa if you are staying in the center or Hotel Riu Monica if you prefer on La Torrecilla beach.

Nerja tuvo en 1965 el mayor árbol de Navidad de Europa. El árbol mas grande de Europa, un pino de 34 metros. según relata el noticiario No-do de 4 de Enero de 1965.

El arbol de Navidad es uno de los unicos arboles reales (hoy en dia son artificiales). Y aun se conserva en Nerja. Es el pino del Balcon de Europa junto a la Iglesia.

En 2023, el arbol de navidad mas grande de Europa sigue estando en españa. Pero esta vez en Cantabria, La localidad de Cartes en Cantabria es donde se ha instalado el árbol de Navidad más grade de toda Europa. Este arbol tiene 65 metros de altura y está Ubicado en el Parque del Torreón de Santiago de Cartes.

La estructura metalica pesa 40 toneladas y está adornado con 24.000 metros de led. Este arbol gigante ha logrado superar la altura de los árboles de Navidad de diversas capitales de provincia españolas.
